Dr. Adele Yarmohammadi

Seeing the Future: Personalized Eye Care for All

Dr. Adeleh Yarmohammadi (known as “Dr. Adele”) is a California-trained ophthalmologist, board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. She specializes in various anterior segment surgeries, including cataract, glaucoma, LASIK, and facial aesthetic procedures like eyelid surgeries.
“Ever since I was a kid, I had a knack for painting. While in medical school, I realized that ophthalmology is not just another medical field. It’s truly a combination of both medicine and art. Understanding my patients’ visual and aesthetic needs and using my skills as an artist and a surgeon to improve their quality of life brings me immense joy.”
Dr. Adele completed two years of clinical and research sub-specialty fellowships in Glaucoma and Ocular Imaging at the world-renowned Hamilton Glaucoma Center. Following a surgical internship at UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center, she completed her ophthalmology residency at UC San Diego Shiley Eye Institute —one of the nation’s top programs—, where she had the privilege of training under the mentorship of Dr. Don Kikkawa and Dr. Bobby Korn, leaders in the field of Oculoplastics.
She then completed a fellowship in glaucoma and anterior segment under the mentorship of Dr. Robert Weinreb, one of the most prominent leaders in ophthalmology.
Dr. Adele has numerous peer-reviewed research publications in ophthalmic journals and has lectured and presented scientific papers nationally. She is an active member of the American Glaucoma Society, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, Women in Ophthalmology, and a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology.
When not in the office, you can find her brushing away at her canvas, singing her heart out, developing healthy plant-based recipes, advocating for a healthy diet and lifestyle, practicing yoga and Pilates, or appreciating serene California beaches.
